Welcome to Playful Roots Doula Services! I'm Sienna (she/her), a certifying birth doula and child development specialist in Calgary, AB, with a deep love for all things baby and early childhood.

My passion for birth began early—legend has it I once insisted on being called the “baby doctor” and spent countless hours in dramatic play, tending to toy babies and imagining the magic of supporting new families. That childhood dream has grown into a calling, and I’m now proud to offer inclusive, client-centered doula care for all kinds of parents and families.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Child Studies and over nine years of experience as an early childhood educator in Calgary, I’ve supported children and caregivers through major transitions, tender moments, and everyday milestones. My work is rooted in connection, empathy, and a deep respect for the uniqueness of every parent’s journey.

When I’m not attending births or supporting little ones, you can find me coaching rhythmic gymnastics, sipping tea with my partner, or cuddling with our two curious kitties.

Our Services

Step into the joyous journey of parenthood with a doula by your side, who brings a sprinkle of magic and a burst of warmth to every moment. Let this adventure be as enchanting and delightful as the stories you’ll share for a lifetime!

  • Feeling nervous about birth? You don’t have to do it alone. This package includes two prenatal sessions to prepare, in-person support during labour, and one postpartum visit to help you settle in. You'll also have access to 24/7 virtual support as your due date approaches—because questions (and feelings!) don’t stick to business hours.

  • Get the full circle of support from bump to baby snuggles. This bundle includes two prenatal visits, in-person birth support, and 10 hours of flexible postpartum care to help with feeding, rest, recovery, and adjusting to life with your little one. You’ve got this—and I’ve got you.

  • The journey doesn’t end at six weeks. Need an extra set of loving, experienced hands as your child grows? I offer nanny services, behavior and child development support, routine-building, and guidance through big life transitions (like starting daycare or welcoming a sibling).
