  • Looking for support in creating your birth plan and managing the preparation of your birth? Let’s create your individualized birth plan together and talk through the phases & stages of labour- I can help provide suggestions for pain-relief and partner support during each phase. This will include a free consultation and two sessions- either virtual or in person.

  • Looking for calm, confident support bringing your baby into the world? This package includes two prenatal sessions to prepare, in-person support during labour, and one postpartum visit to help you settle in. You'll also have access to 24/7 virtual support throughout pregnancy and leading up to your labour because questions (and feelings!) don’t stick to business hours.

  • Support from inside the womb to out. This bundle includes two prenatal visits, in-person birth support, and 16 hours of flexible postpartum care to help with feeding, rest, recovery, and adjusting to life with your little one. You’ve got this, and I’ve got you.

  • Reliable and nurturing care for your older children so you can focus on your birth. I stay with your child wherever you need — at home or at your birth location — offering comfort, play, and reassurance while keeping you updated. My goal is to make sure your child feels safe and cared for while you welcome your new little one.

Welcome to Playful Roots Doula Services! I'm Sienna (she/her), a certifying birth doula and child development specialist in Calgary, AB, with a deep love for all things baby and early childhood.

As a birth doula, I believe birth is sacred, messy, unpredictable, and beautiful. I have a client-centred approach, and I support all kinds of birth and can navigate the home, hospital, or birthing centre environment with ease. For me, it is important to work together with your birth team while creating a calming (or pumped-up) atmosphere and advocating for your birth plan when needed.

With a Bachelor’s degree in Child Studies and over nine years of experience as an early childhood educator in Calgary, I’ve supported children and caregivers through major transitions, tender moments, and everyday milestones. My work is rooted in connection, empathy, and a deep respect for the uniqueness of every parent’s journey.

When I’m not attending births or supporting little ones, you can find me coaching rhythmic gymnastics, sipping tea with my partner, or cuddling with our two curious kitties.
